Matthew is a postgraduate researcher at the University of Leeds whose research examines Alexander and ideas about Supreme Command in the Mediterranean Theatre toward the end of the war.

A smashing episode about a much understudied figure. I wonder if Brook and Churchill's proposal to replace Monty with Alexander in the Northwestern European front would have been a good idea. I know it was just a threat to keep Monty in line but still. I do think about it.
