The “response to” makes it sound like we hated this film when a lot of the positives you guys stated are the same as ours. That being said, I listened to two other reviews on YT who watched in theaters and had similar OVERALL opinions as us, especially in the criticism arena.
- Would we have enjoyed it more in theaters with a crowd guiding our emotions more in a certain direction? Yes.
- Does watching it at home allow us to just see how WE feel more clearly? Yes.
- Since Marvel / Disney agreed to release it on Disney Plus, there will be massive amounts of viewers experiencing it from a tv, phone, computer so is it fair to make a review based on a home viewing experience? Yes.
- Do we hope/want more people to enjoy this movie than not? Yes. Absolutely. And I think people ultimately will.

I honestly believe Marvel movies are a whole new experience in the theatre. It really enhances the experience.

Yelena is one of the aspects I'm looking forward to in this film. So hearing that she is a stand out gets me excited. Don't like hearing that Nat is pushed to the side though.

I am ok if there is too much action I miss that after watching marvel disney plus shows all are more dialogues heavy 😂

i think i know EXACTLY what family scene jaby is talking about, and if it's alexei failing multiple times in connecting with yelena, and then him singing american pie as the bare little he could do to say he cared...

then i just wanna say THANK YOU FOR ACKNOWLEDGING THE FAMILY DYNAMICS SO MUCH...

i think that my appreciation and you guys' appreciation of that possibly has something to do with the fact that we're all asian hahahhah. so just wanna say i'm glad it hit hard for some people too.

We love these movies so much, now we want these movies to be perfect in every aspect.

I don't know why jaby has a mindset that he's always right. I agree with reel rejects and their criticism of certain aspects which overall dims the movie. Here it is supposed to be Natasha's stand-alone but it ends up praising Florence pugh, sidelining Scarlet's performance. Watching where ever, whether it is in-home or theatre, the review comes from one's heart. I agree that we may get excited hearing the rest of the audience's cheers, at the end, it is the overall feel that makes people think of different viewpoints.
So watching at the home allows us to understand the negatives of the movie more and makes us think "oh why I didn't think of it while in theatre".
So I agree with both reel rejects and jaby as ultimately it is everyone's personal opinions and the above para is my opinion.

Curious to hear your take on this question: Do you think watching this film in the “chronological order” with the others previous films will deepen or change/morph any of your thoughts/feelings about Natasha (similar to people now rewatching Thor: Darkworld or Age of Ultron morphed some of their thoughts/feelings about those films and/or characters?

You know before I watched this movie I checked many fan and YouTuber's reviews, and I realised this movie is not gonna satisfy our expectations. After watching the movie, now I understand why is that. This movie was an MCU Type B movie. And the main reason is, it revealed so many things while it's too late, and on the other hand left so many expected things uncovered. But I personally enjoyed it, and it was a good movie for saying goodbye to our Black Widow and to be interduced to the new character like Yelena.

I personally think the Time Scheduling for Black Widow was not right. If you take a look at the other projects like Dr Strange or Spider-Man, you will see there's no other projects in the Calendar near them. But in case of Black Widow, it was a compress Marvel Schedule. I think this is one of the main reasons this movie wasn't a good match for the Audience's Expectations.
