I absolutely love that they use that one Scaredy-Shroom redesign I saw online instead of reusing the ugly crackhead design from the main PVZ2.

seeing a pvz sandbox mode kinda just awakens the inner child in all of us, it's why all those stupid content slop vids of "50 plants vs 50 gargs" get so many views

What makes this compared to vanilla PVZ2 feel like a more official sequel is definitely the attention to detail that was present in the first game. Of course umbrella works on buccaneers, imps, prospectors and even combo's with spring bean, it has logic to it. Of course homing thistle can pop balloons, the projectile is sharp. Even plant death and victory animations make sense, it was already in PVZA. Small stuff like this really does go such a long way.

Things I know:

Ice Shroom's PF actually freezes zombies when its bitten. The freeze only activates when it's bitten, but the range of the freeze is all around itself in the icy mist.


The Floawer Pot's PF gives it much more health and allows it to be moved to any tile you want (when there's nothing on top of it)

Gatling Pea's PF has extra firepower in its animation, but unlike pvz2 china, the guns stay out and it's permanently upgraded

Snow Pea apparently has repeater's big pea at the end of the PF

Gargs from ancient egypt drop backwards walking basics from the sarcophagus

Scaredy Shroom has a small chance to fire one of its plant food spores, that knocks back a zombie slightly

Barrel Rollers kill plants on contact, rather than just doing rapid damage to them. This means that even armoured tall-nuts die on the first frame of contact

Edits beyond here: Torchwood's explosion goes in a cross shape now rather than just a single lane.

Zombie heads and arms go FLYING if they're knocked off by strong attacks (one of my favourite details)

If you right click plants they will have an animation

This game is SUPER impressive

This mod shows that quality is better than quantity the amount of small details, content, and animations in this would make a L4D enthusiast smile with how much attention to detail there is I really am excited for this and this is perhaps the start of a pvz2 revolution and I am all for it no more bad vanilla slop just pure fanmade content.

Them Plant death animations, I believe, are mostly from PvZH! As detail would have it, I really like that charm.

ok I really like how the Gargs have different effects, like the Pirate Garg fires its imps all over the map, or the Egypt Garg seeming to drop 2 basics on death

The middle mouse button can directly use chlorophyll, F5 can enable super slow motion, the shortcut of banana Cracker is N, the shortcut of ice fairy is N

16:12 By the animation, id guess boomerang might be able to protect plants around himself as well? They look similar to umbrella leaf, maybe bloomerang is their ancestors?

There is also Victory Animations but could also be Zen garden animations. Also Gloom shroom is a shadow plant so you can power it up whit moon flower and gloom vine people dont know realy know this unless you look at the mint family icons those also have changes for some plants i think. ALSO ALSO Flower pots PF allows it to change its tile if there are no plants on it!
