In this video of Sons of The Forest, I give a complete overview for update 13. This update includes 3 new furniture items, the Uber Trap, Tarp Walls, Cave D overhaul, Heaps of new story items, and a lot of fixes.

00:00 - Intro
00:20 - You can now use tarps to build walls & added new fold animation
01:02 - New trap – Uber Trap (Requires blueprint)
02:01 - New “speciality” furniture (Requires blueprints)
02:51 - New skinned face mask enemy type ‘Henry’
03:47 - Added new round table buildable
04:08 - Regular Puffies can no longer be skinned for creepy armor, and John2 increased to give 2 creepy armor
05:03 - Fixed John2 phasing through walls & not triggering mace & radio trap
06:17 - Switched a lot of item colliders to primitives to improve performance and reduce risk of falling through terrain
06:42 - Item plating structure can now be destroyed if it is attacked
07:16 - Reworked the item plating structure so that you do not need to use the grab bag to add the Solafite
07:46 - Blueprint / Survival Guide overhaul
08:21 - Console commands removed
08:48 - Moved PJ’s to sailboat
09:22 - Twins can now breakthrough and emerge from the ground in both caves and overworld
09:40 - Added left handed item support while using the log sled
10:12 - Fixed Kelvin not being able to cut Arbutus trees, which could stop his progress in getting logs
10:28 - Kelvin can now retrieve nearby spears
10:46 - Added an FPS limiter to the pause menu to fix GPUs being overworked
11:30 - Fixed zipline early disconnects
11:42 - Added crafting sting to crafting zipline rope
12:03 - Disabled torch block since it didn't block any damage
12:57 - Player is no longer blasted into space if they open their inventory while standing on an armed spring trap
13:15 - Player can now jump while riding the Knight V and holding a structure
13:32 - Fishing Hut Updates & Solafite No Mining Required
13:59 - Items in inventory will now wobble for a moment when the inventory is opened
14:16 - Rest of the patchnotes & Spoiler warning
16:12 - Added some new note pickups
16:35 - Added extension to cave B + new ??? item
16:57 - Complete re-work of cave D + Rifle & NVG moved, another new ??? item & more
19:52 - Ending

I really miss the “happy birthday” trap and the other old ones. They need to add a spike pit trap that lets you use the shovel to make it or something, cover it with leaves… or maybe traps that can snap onto the base

they're probably not calling it a forge because it's not a forge. A forge is for heating metal to make it pliable, this is an electroplating setup, which uses electricity to deposit a layer of metal on a surface. Hence the batteries and lightning and lack of fire.

The tarp wall thing is quite useful. I'm building a really high tower for the glider and whilst sections are logged up as rooms most of it is open at the sides. It's much quicker to use tarps and they make the tower look cool as well as stopping you accidentally falling out.

For cannibals like Henry, it would be really cool and funny if there was a small chance for them to get back up after being shot in the chest or head with a crossbow bolt or arrow and go into a berserk state where they just attack relentlessly, kinda like the WITNESS ME scene from Mad Max.

I quite like the spaceship, it ties into the games lore quite well considering the ending. Doesn’t feel out of left field.

One thing I know about endnight is they HATE light. Their games are always very dark. I am not surprised they removed the cavelight command lol.

its very useful to be able to drive with a moved building, lets say you need lots of rocks, but none at your base. build a fireplace, move it to your base and dismantle it....
same for sticks, fill your inventory, then build a bed and move it.

Something I wish they would add is a mutant that can swim.
Or specificaly the blue puffy.
I loved the shark puzzle in the rebreather cave since it actually made me think twice before jumping in.
So why not make the blue puffy actually unique besides having more HP and damage.

The player should also be able to use knifes in water so you can fight back.
I can just imagine the panic of a mutant swimming after you in a dark cave.

Imo, if players need an "incentive" to fight enemies, the combat system needs to be reworked to be more fun. Especially in a game like this where combat is a big part of gameplay.

the twins underground is so cool, it surprises you but gives you enough time to prepare. besides, its the same kind of image used for the steam page, i like that its in the game now

Puffys are hard to deal with when they get moving, they're really fast . Sucks that they give no loot. No incentive to kill them, sorta silly.

I wish they would add something similar to the worm from the forest. I loved that enemy, it was insanely unique and terrifying.

Cool round up of this update as usual. Honslty they could have done a lot more for the past 6 months but well...
Also, could you please explain the part about YouTube not liking certain stuff in vids? Bllod and gore and etc? I have seen mil plus creators having those in their vids.
I would appreciate you explaining this a little bit since you keep saying it in most of your update coverage vids.

Just confirmed it firsthand ingame, you can 100% slash the twins as they dig out and kill them.
