Mermaids really got the done dirty by EA. They don't even have a unique bassinet or tombstone/urn - unlike EVERY OTHER occult, including Servos.

One thing I love about vampires is that I can go off and play other characters in the same world and they'll still be alive when I get back around to playing them.

I like werewolves but omg they can be so challenging! I did a family of werewolves and they all hated each other because their quirks clashed!

What really annoyed me about spell casters was that all of their spells were things you could already do in the game. Fixing objects, making food, etc. I really wanted more unique spells rather than just time hacks for things that already exist. So dull and such a step down from sims 3 witches even with the skill tree

when i actually looked into the lore of moonwood mill i was shocked. so many simmers say ea forgot to put lore into ts4 (which, they did), but hopefully werewolves indicates theyre adding lore back into the game.

The artifacts your sims can find in the werewolf world also ties a story between vampires and realm of magic, making those two worthwhile

You can ruthlessly murder everyone with fire as a Spellcaster, and therefore they are simply the best Occult in TS4, hands down 😤 I do love Werewolves though because you can tell a lot of love went into that pack... Plus they're just so silly and fun.

Oh man! I honestly really love vampires and spellcasters and ive been struggling with the Werewolves. With the vampires and casters you can use cheats and max out their stats, but not the werewolves. 1000% agree that mermaids were done DIRTY though, ugh that was so sad

For anyone who wants better mermaids, Mermaids 2.0 is great. It offers so much more and it’s made by the same person who made fairies vs witches. It’s a lot more interesting and gives so much more to play with.

I miss when occults are actually “occults” - meaning hidden. They came with packs, as little easter eggs, never the main focus, and you have to work to turn your sims or get one to move in with you
