Just a slight mistake with this video. The Library of Congress is officially recognized as the world's largest library. Not the British Library. The Library of Congress is larger of the two in terms of square feet, size of collection, and annual budget. The Library of Congress is estimated to have over 39 million books. The British Library is estimated to have around 13 million books.

The Library of Congress has an estimated 890 miles of bookshelves. The British Library has an estimated 464 miles of bookshelves.

Also, the Library of Congress says right on its own website it's the world's largest Library, and the British Library makes no such claim.

The British Library is the world's 2nd largest Library today. 🙂
