POV: How to Use 2nd Person

Second person is the most rarely used of all the POVs, but if used properly can create some truly unique effects. Here's a look into the various uses and traits of 2nd person!

I've always adored second person. For me, with how I use it, it's like playing a video game where you only see everything going on in the character's head. It's like first person is that character telling you their story, and third person is somebody telling the character's story. In second person, you are in the character's head and you see everything how they see it; they don't know you're there yet a story is still told. It's like you experience the story *with* them.

I saw an nteresting Poem with all Persons. The poem was about a persons attempt to end their life. The first stanza was in third, second was in second and third was in first. It was a countdown.

Wrote i have books, short stories, screenplays. From school was accustomed to 1st or 3rd person, the latter I mostly write but I dabbled in the other and read whole books.
2nd an acquired taste but I experiment.

Second person is _damn hard_ to write. I think I've read _one_ book in 2nd person (something by Walter Jon Williams). I'd love to hear about examples of good 2nd person books, especially sci-fi.
