Wondering if it could have anything to do with the starter and flywheel? My noise is emanating from that lower area.

Figure out what it was? That definitely sounds like piston slap but a lot of them seem to make this noise. Eventually it gets consistent and makes the noise even after the engine is warm.

Have exact noise at initial cold start only. Will not reproduce sound after initial start even if I shut it off and immediately start again. I must wait several hours. Sound is most notable underneath motor where motor meets tranny. Have replace TB tensioner to no prevail. Have removed serpentine to rule that tensioner out and still remained.
I believe it has something to do with oil making it to the area of the sound, that is why it will not reproduce immediately after 1st start.

I have this same problem. Would a tune up fix this? Help before I spend money on things mechanic says I need but really don't. Much appreciated for any advice.
