Peanut the Squirrel EUTHANIZED by New York Authorities Per Owner | E! News

A squirrel named Peanut, who has amassed hundreds of thousands of social media followers, was seized by New York state authorities Oct. 30. Now his owner, Mark Longo, says he has been put down along with Fred the Raccoon. E! News has reached out to the New York Department of Environmental Conservation for comment.

Meanwhile there are people selling items on the sidewalks of NYC that were stolen from the retail stores. Not to mention human trafficking and other sorts of trafficking.... and yet New York focuses on a tiny squirrel living its best life with caring owners, and has to snuff it out. This is so incredibly sad.
