Blue Door Walk - Edzell - Autumn in Scotland | 4K | DJI Mini2
Показать описание
Blue Door walk in Edzell, also known as Rocks of Solitude is one of the best known walks of Scotland on par with Birks of Aberfeldy, Dunkeld's Hermitage or Puck's Glen. It is not too long, just around 3 miles and leads along the North Esk river to impressive gorge. From the trail you can see some rapids and small waterfalls formed by the river and streams which are joining it. Gorge at the end of the walk is not as impressive as Devil's Pulpit or Chricope Linn, but still very nice to look at, especially in autumn, when woodlands on river banks are red and yellow and the river is in the full flow. Certainly worth a visit. The only problem is that the car park in front of the blue door is very small (for around 6 cars and nearly always full). Walkhghland recommends to start the walk from quite large car park in Edzell, what adds some distance to the walk. If you pressed for time and there are no places in front of the door then you can park on the side of the next road to the left which leads to Loch Lee and Falls of Unich circular walk which is also worth visiting.
