A mid-century, modern home designed by noted architect John L. Pugsley in Pasadena’s historic Oak Knoll district is for sale at $3. 323 million. Beyond the soaring glass entryway under an arched roof, the circa 1963 residence on El Molino Avenue has 3, 500 square feet of living space with five bedrooms, three bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows. Double-glass doors open to an entry gallery with a floating staircase leading to airy public spaces. The east landing is staged as an office, although there’s a proper office space with built-in cabinets and floating shelving on the ground floor. Also upstairs, a fireplace divides the open-concept living and dining space. Interiors include a breakfast area off the sky-lit gourmet kitchen, a den, and a master suite with a walk-in closet and bathroom that features a glass-enclosed shower. A slider from the master bedroom opens to the pool, a centerpiece of the half-acre property located just around the corner from The Langham Huntington, Pasadena. Landscape architect Anthony Exter designed the pool and gardens, the listing reads. Jimmy Wilson of Deasy Penner Podley holds the listing. Pugsley, who died in 2009 at 81, was a USC School of Architect-educated modernist who practiced in Pasadena and Coronado.
