Building an adjustable bridge inside Bailey’s ring

Installing a sizing bar / bridge inside a ring is a perfect option for those who have large knuckles or tend to have their fingers swell up a lot with temperature changes. They can be adjusted by bending them up or down to make the ring fit tighrer or looser on a finger. If you think this is a good option for you just show this video to your local jeweler and they should be able to accommodate.

Omg I never even knew this was an option!! My ring is the smallest it can be to fit my knuckle, but freely spins on my hand. I’ll ask my jeweler about this!!

I love this sort of thing! Fingers swelling, or shrinking when it's cold, is a pain to deal with, especially when it's a favored ring.Being able to adjust is a great option.

I make this too, but with a different purpose. If you make this exactly the same but a little bit longer (roughly between 1/2 and 1/3 of the ring) and thinner, (0.5mm) you can use them as a spring bar for people with thick knuckles. Only thing to keep in mind is to not solder, but laser weld the end. And make sure the bar is not annealed but firm. So that when you put your ring over the knuckle, the bar goes down, and springs back up after the knuckle so it fits tightly on the finger.

I absolutely love this method of resetting the size of a ring. My weight fluctuates by the time of day, as well as the season. I would absolutely do this

This sounds like a great idea! I don't wear rings because I hate the way they slip and slide on my finger because they have to be big enough to slip over my knuckles and so they don't fit where I actually need them to stay
