Suppose your assignment asks you to produce a five-minute Radio feature. The show should tell a story. It could be based on an interview, a news event, exploration of an issue, or the story of an individual. Regardless of the type of content in the feature, the show should have some kind of structure. The example here is not meant to be a formula, but it illustrates one way of planning out the structure of a five-minute Radio program. This could be applied to a music or entertainment feature, investigative news story, biography, short documentary or sports feature story, as Radio broadcasting professor Paul Cross illustrates.

Applies to: RBD 105, RBD 154, RBD 228, RBD 253, RBC 5002, RBC 5501, RBC 5502, RBC 5505

Crazy backward writing skills, Paul. Reminiscent of the early days of TV weather reporting. I find one of the key issues students struggle with is organization. This provides a concise view of how to approach the issue.
