The biggest problem is when the money isn't yours, you don't care how much something costs.

31 trillion in debt, and what has this spending brought us? Nothing but rage, bitterness, and demands for more and more. I remember we got 2 or 3 stimulus payments when COVID was basically over and all we did was whine and cry we didn't get more. Yet in the 2008 financial crash, during periods when unemployment was much worse, no private household got a check in the mail and yet no one complained.

It's going to reach a Point where the interest rate will be so high that it can't be paid

This is just scary- I’m sorry but this country is in trouble. Cut military spending in 1/2 pull out from overseas bases. Hard choices need to be made

As long you can pay the interest payment, you're fine. But just like mortage APR, if the rate goes up during renewal, that means you have to pay higher interest payment. FED want to make sure the interest rate goes down by the time renewal is happening.

Most politicians are millionaires so while a collapsed America would also affect them, they would still have enough money to buy up cheap properties and actually become richer.
My point is, politicians have no reason to stop the spend and the inevitable collapse.

Nearly 26 trillion of the national debt is owned by U.S. citizens. So, long story short, we are barrowing money out of our own pockets. The national debt is not nearly as serious as people think it is, so stop hyping up the "problem".

The Milkshake Currency doesn't need to worry too much. More $$$ will be pumped to Ukraine to override all these.

Before you know it, the national debt will be expressed in terms of quadrillions and then quintillions soon afterwards. Even sextillions cannot be ruled out.

As long as the GDP is not much negative and too long, US would be fine.
