Watch the video to learn about bats in general and take a closer look at the different species of bats we have here in Britain.

The only true flying mammal, bats, are intriguing creatures. This means that they have fur-covered bodies, are warm-blooded and give birth to live young. The number of bat species worldwide is around 1,400, and more are being discovered. In the UK, bats make up more than a quarter of all mammal species and about 20% of all mammal species globally. All British bats are micro bats and eat only insects.

I'm here because I was at Chirk Castle Llangollen Wales last week and a bat flew into my face 😂🏰🦇. Scared poop out of me but got me intrigued. There were quite a few as I found the courage to continue up the top floor. Amazing animals.

Noticed a bat or two flying around my garden, so I have brushed up on bat care & also ordered a couple of bat boxes/houses to encourage them. Great video by the way thanks 🦇🦇

Honestly I think most microbat species are actually really cute. I remember once I found a dead pipistrelle bat outside my house. I don’t know what killed it, but it definitely wasn’t a predator as there was no bite marks or other visible injuries, but it did look absolutely amazing. I occasionally see large groups of them flying around my garden too

Bats are so beautiful ..Berlin. has many and we are blessed with a huge fortress where many hibernate throughout the winters .I spotted a colony of bats 5 th October and sat entranced as tried to get photos .Nothing brilliant but now I know where they live ...Fascinating video ..👍

I'm in Salford/Manchester. I had only seen tiny bats at a previous address some years ago, a neighbour had them in the loft. A couple of weeks ago in the early hours, I was driving home when a large brown bat flew from a tree, and came very close to the car. Light brown, wide wingspan. I had seen one the same a few days before in the Warrington area. 2 bats in one week. I feel so lucky.

Bat detectors are really fun to use, it's amazing the range of sounds they produce.

Getting rid of all the nature and building apartment complexes for the newly welfare-dependent Labour voters certainly ain't helping! Baby seals need help too.
