Old Flags with the Union Jack

Показать описание
The historical flags with the Union were flown across the vast expanse of the British Empire, representing Dominions, Crown colonies, protectorates, and territories. In the early days, these flags were often simple variations of Great Britain's Red and Blue Ensigns, typically without any colonial badges or coats of arms. Even the Thirteen Colonies, which would later become the United States, utilized such designs. However, as the 19th century progressed, individual colonies began to adopt their own unique emblems. This shift gained momentum after the UK Parliament passed the Colonial Naval Defence Act in 1865, which required colonies to develop and apply their own symbols.
