Does anyone else think Chris will be the first to ask Eddie if he's in love with Buck???

Eddie's mother has raised passive-aggressiveness to an art form!

His parents here again, every time they constantly butt in, never letting Eddie be a father to his own kid. It's frustrating to see.

I love their relationship so much! I love how Buck was such an integral part in Eddie making all those decisions regarding Chris. They literally already act married. Eddie always needs Buck’s input and he always listen and applies everything Buck tell him to do. I love their bond so much!🩷🩷

Buck’s not used to Eddie not being right next to him ready to banter while he’s cooking 🙁 & I know he misses having Chris as his sous chef. Cannot wait to have my family back together!! 🧑‍🧑‍🧒🩷

this whole scene lowkey is an allegory for their relationship… perfect slow cooker (slow burn; they will, won’t they) in 8h (8 seasons, so we probably will see them officially together on season 9), not 7h45 (season 7, episode 4 and 5; bi buck and his date with tommy, saying that their relationship was not perfect)… and buck saying that slow cooker is never wrong (alluding that the best storylines comes with a slow burn) like

Note that the parents didn't come when Eddie was shot or when Christopher was rescued from the tsunami. Yet, they care.? They constantly undermine and second guess him. Imagine how they were with Christopher's mother when Eddie was deployed. No wonder she felt inadequate and ran.

Look at Eddie winking at Buck. Being all cute and flirty with each other while they're cooking and FaceTime'ing. 😘

I hope Eddie and Chris move back and Buck never moves out 😂

I knew the relationship between Buck and Eddie reminded me of another on-screen buddy relationship. And yesterday, with Val Kilmer's departure and several posts about his films, I remembered: Maverick and Iceman! There are two scenes that are super similar in the first episode of the second season of 911! When Eddie asks him what his problem is, and at the end, when they say they'll watch each other's backs... just look at that!

Just the fact that his mother and father don't listen to Eddie says everything we need to know about them. They're passive aggressive, they're entirely selfish, and ultimately they'd treat Christopher as badly as they treat Eddie. True failures at parenting. They're bad parents and bad people. They care only for themselves and what's best for anyone else is meaningless to them.

I don't cook - but I was so afraid that Eddie would cut his hand while chopping by accident while FaceTiming Buck.

There’s some more of that Passive Aggressiveness from Eddie’s Mother. I'm sure it simply just slipped her mind that, typically, the person whom invited them over for dinner would, you know, provide the dinner. Or maybe she had such little faith in Eddie’s culinary abilities, it was easier to assume that it would turn out bad so just better to bring some takeout to have backup dinner on hand just in case. Notice how the first thing she did after entering the kitchen was check on the food inside the slow cooker, as if he couldn’t be trusted to read a recipe and set a timer. Can’t say I’m very surprised. Let’s not forget, back in S05E17, this woman insisted that only she was allowed to cook all the food for his father’s retirement party, the professional caterers could only be deemed to warm and serve the food. I’d be willing to bet that she was probably in there every 5 minutes ensuring that the heating was being done “correctly” by the people that warm and serve food at events for their livelihoods.

Eight hours of slow cooking for the mother to come and lift the lid of the pot without asking🤦‍♀... Luckily, she´s already put it back in place
