Originally from Limerick, Paddy Malone lived for many years in Tralee County Kerry and was a mainstay of the folk/singer-songwriter scene there. He was also part of the1980s band, Metro, with John Brown and Paul Hanrahan. He passed away in December 2022.

Note: 'Slán Abhaile' (slawn awallya) is a farewell saying in Irish; it literally translates as 'Safe home', a phrase you'll often hear Irish people say on parting.
