Part six of Ahsoka...might have topped the past two weeks for me. It's been one great episode after another. It's wild to see stuff on screen I simply never imagined I would as a young Star Wars reader back in the mid 90s. And now here it is! And it lived up to the hype I had in my head! So let's talk about episode six titled Far, Far Away!

I see Ezra has followed in the footsteps of Yoda, Obi Wan and Luke in becoming a homeless Hermit who only has weird aliens for friends

Even in live action Lars Mikkelsen breathes life into Thrawn. I cant imagine anyone else in the role now. He's just perfect.

You could feel the shame in Sabine's look when Ezra said he was excited to finally go home. It's starting to sink in how much she did not consider that far ahead.

That inquisitor was definitely a foreshadow for Thrawn’s army of the dead 😬

They nailed Grand Admiral Thrawn perfectly 👌🏻

The troopers with their Kintsugi-style armor was really cool (the act of mending broken items with gold). It's in keeping with the Japanese/Samurai themes of the show.

Thrawn requesting the use of Nightsister magic also shows growth on his part. In Rebels, one of his blindspots was the Force. Now he seems much more comfortable weaponizing and facing it.

I waited 5 years to see Ezra and Thrawn again. I was not disappointed at all.

The first half was mind blowing. WOW. So ominous and gripping. The cinematography was amazing

I think it's pretty strongly implied that Ezra escaped from Thrawn's custody, and Thrawn has been hunting him but not putting a ton of resources into it. That's why he had a guess about Ezra's location but didn't know it precisely. He let Sabine go in the hopes that Ezra would reveal himself to her and put himself in the open.

Love that Thrawn Troopers were somewhat hospitable to Sabine and not just being needlessly hostile. Enoch looks awesome.

This episode was 10/10 for me and brought me back to the old days.

The emotion that I felt seeing Ezra and Sabine interacting again after so long...

It made me feel like the 8th grader that I was when I was watching the final season of Star Wars Rebels. It's been so long since we've seen Ezra, and seeing him back after such a long time... that was such an impactful moment. It made me feel like I was back in that time, when things for me were all that more simplistic.

There's been only a handful of times where I've cried during an episode or a movie, and this was one of those times. 5 and a half years since the ending of Star Wars Rebels. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to see these characters again, much less in live-action. This has been a very special show.

On that same subject, seeing Lars Mikkelsen absolutely nail the live-action adaptation of Thrawn, just as he did in Rebels, was so beautiful and so special to see. Seeing Thrawn out of all people being in need of magic was an interesting twist that I'm excited to learn more about.

Overall, in my opinion, I genuinely believe that Episode 6 is up there with Episode 5 for best episode of the series. I don't think I'm ready to put 6 over 5 just yet, but 6 is making a very strong case for that.

This episode felt like Rebels throughout and it was so special. I can't wait for the final 2 episodes to see how this story concludes. It's gonna be really awesome and really special, that's for sure.

That time period after Thrawn and Ezra got to Peridia could make for Timothy Zahns' best trilogy yet

Holy cow. Yet again I must say hats off to Filoni and the rest of the crew to what they managed to deliver here. The introduction of Thrawn with his battered Star Destroyer, along with his anthem was just pure top notch. I think we can all safely say that this is currently Star Wars at its peak ever since Andor. (Even though they’re both different in terms of genre, themes, story, etc, you know what I mean).

11/10 episode.

Was totally unprepared for all the stuff that happened and we found out here: Peridia, THRAWN, Purgill graveyard, THRAWN, Dathomiri origins, THRAWN, Ezra, and did I forget to mention THRAWN?

I'd also like to imagine mysef as one of the thousands that cried out in delight and were suddenly laughing when Huyang said the thing.

I just wanted to say, you are the only SW breakdown channel worth watching. You just get it. You accept things that aren't always perfect and celebrate what is. You keep in mind these are not our head cannon. That they are someone else's stories they are sharing with us. You guys never forget, above all else, SW is supposed to be fun escapism. Keep up the great work.

I love that Thrawn has allied himself with these witches. His two defeats in Rebels were because of the Bendu and Purgill. Two things he couldn’t comprehend. The witches have evened the playing field for him.

Can we just appreciate how badass it is that the rings of Peridea are the bones of the Purgil? That is metal as hell!!
