Singapore is famous as a leading financial hub and one of the largest international financial centers in Asia. For a relatively small country, it has a huge number of banks to choose from, over 100 in fact.

Unlike in some other countries, it’s not usually necessary for you to visit a branch in person to open a bank account in Singapore. Although of course, you can physically head into a branch if you prefer (but we all know it's impossible right now no thanks to the pandemic). Thanks to the flexibility provided by CIMB and Maybank, we can now open a Singapore savings account (denominated in SGD) from Malaysia.

As of the making of this video, the two aforementioned bank accounts are only available for Malaysian and Singaporean residents.

I heard now maybank for conversion the rate high same as wise and there is no charge for the conversion.. But cimb rate slightly lower.. Now I only using wise..

Thanks for the informative guide as usual. Singapore CIMB account is synchronised to Singapore MY from what i have heard, meaning you are able to access your Cimb SG account from the same online portal. Is Maybank SG the same too? Or is it a two separate independant account?

Here in the Philippines CIMB offers 4% PA interest. But CIMB (PH) are pure digital no branches and atm.
