Wow. I have this exact sermon recorded on a VHS tape the day it was broadcasted from at least 18 or more years ago. I had gotten born again a few years prior, but felt extreme guilt, condemnation, and shame every time I sinned, and I just assumed it was because I wasn't actually saved.

When this sermon came on television that day it was exactly what I needed to hear, that I actually was saved, and the reason I felt the way I did is because God was chastising me because I am in fact his son. (Hebrews 12:8). It was such a relief. Such a load off my back that God actually hadn't kicked me to the curb like I thought he had.

I was sitting here flipping through YouTube shorts and of all things this pops up. Unbelievable.. I have this dubbed on an old VHS tape somewhere in my house from that day, and I watched it many times afterward.

Adrian was teaching from Hebrews 12:8 that day. It was exactly what I needed to hear at the time and I've never forgotten it. God is good. Thank you for posting.
