VGR Steam Finale 2015 With J549 - 29/11/2015

With conditions dry and an expected scorcher of a summer on the way, the Victorian Goldfields Railway made the decision to cease steam train operations for the year beginning December 1st, which meant the final steam trips for the year occurred on Sunday November 29. As a result, oil burning J549 had the honor of hauling the final steam trips for the year, running the regular VGR timetable of 2 return workings between Maldon and Castlemaine.
