Very glad I waited for your follow up review. Thank you for following up with us, Will. Definitely helps to make informed purchasing decisions. Let's see whether Anker chooses to address these issues and how quickly they can implement such improvements.

Will, I like your honesty and clear explanations about the pros and the cons - well done on this device

The extra battery in mine is de-prioritized below the main unit which is kind of cool - it will always charge the main unit to 100% before starting to fill the expansion battery so if you grab the 767, it's always as full as possible. It then discharges the battery first to reduce cycles on the main unit and I prefer that over keeping them balanced at the same SOC. I wonder if yours needs an update? The clicking is something I've seen on Ecoflow and Bluetti units and I think it's a problem when the solar is borderline - both fixed this via firmware so I think it's a threshold they need to tweak. Glad you liked the 767 too - it's super solid and quiet. No drama.

This is what makes your channel great! You give us the bad with the good and don't just fluff things up for us.

My clicking was resolved with a firmware update. Mine is also super quiet even when charging at full speed. I did several back to back sessions at 1440 watts charging my Leaf and then charging the 767 back up with AC and the battery got pretty hot at around 105 degrees and the fans were noticably louder but still quieter than the AC200MAX or Delta Pro.

Bought this unit and returned it, the 30 amp plug was reversed polarity. So if U have one check the polarity on all the AC outlets, the 20amp plugs were correct but the 30amp was reversed. I bought for my RV and my EPO cuts the power to the RV because the hot and neutral are reversed. If they can’t wire a simple plug correctly on a unit that cost $2k, I’m not keeping it. Maybe when they fix some of these issues I’ll revisit.

Very new to solar and I have to commend your info delivery style. Easy to understand for this ol gal. Looking at emergency solutions and was leaning toward the eco line until your Anker explanations.

The 757 model also had the clicking issues when the sun first hit the panels in the morning. So they didn't fix it between versions, but hopefully now that bigger names are complaining about it they'll maybe take a more serious look at fixing it. That was one of the deal-breakers - I ended sending my 757 back and won't consider another of theirs for my use-case until it is resolved.

I have one 767 and work perfect for my tools. A small fridge . Looks small but is really heavy.

Thank you for all the follow up videos on products you like. It really helps me decide what I want to do for my home to become grid free and if I could deal with most of the problems that are coming up. For the average person, who has no experience, as I do, the content you provide is very helpful and realistic.

2:45 these manufacturers still think of this product category as mobile batteries for camping or occasional work. power stations like this should be able to function as small off-grid or grid powerwalls so we utilize the crazy cycle life of LFP batteries in here.

Unfortunately I didn't watch your video before I purchased the Anker 767 and 760 back up battery. As of 2/6/24 (today) I am having the exact issue that you had. The back up battery will not charge if it doesn't already have some percentage of charge left in it. The relays just click and more importantly during this clicking the 767 shuts down the 110v outlets which kills the power to all of my equipment running off the 767. Disappointed to say the least to see that 10 months later this issue is not fixed. Thanks for your videos they Rock!

I own an EcoFlow Delta Max 2000. I only use solar to charge it and the 2 extra batteries. It always turns on by itself when the solar panels are connected and the sun comes up. I keep the firmware updated and discharge it every month. After communicating with EcoFlow support, I was able to over panel the solar input using 6 160W panels in 4x + 2x configuration. 4 in series paralleled with 2 in series. It still never exceeds the 800W PV maximum input.

UPDATE: i installed the latest upgrade to 1.1.7 last night as mentioned by several other commenters and there was no clicking at sunrise today.

i was in the market for a power system upgrade for my van life with an eye toward powering an off grid cabin some day. after your first review of the 767 i did my due diligence and ended up buying one. i have it connected to two 100 watt solar panels. since i only use about 15% of the power per day, the 200 watts are sufficient to recharge it to 100% by 10am in full sun.

i can confirm what you say about the morning clicking, although mine only seems to go on for a few minutes rather than an hour…or maybe i just sleep through it.

i agree the screen goes off too fast but i monitor it through the app on my ipad so that doesn’t matter to me.

i don’t have the expansion battery but i might some day so it’s good to be aware of the problem.

i love my 767 and even though it might be overkill for my “current” needs, it’s a system that allows me growth for some time to come. i highly recommend it.

thanks for the follow-up review, will.
