Adrenaline pumping canyon swing in Grindelwald Switzerland!
Показать описание
Thrill of a lifetime? Yes, this is it, the canyon swing that people talk about. Located in beautiful Grindelwald Switzerland, this 295-foot-tall drop into a 120 km/h swing above a glacier fed river is well...awesome. Check out the experience, book the trip, and get your heart pumping.
Buying Story
I discovered the canyon swing through the tv show The Amazing Race. Watching it on the show it looked super cool and I wanted to try something like it, but I couldn’t find anything similar close to home. When we booked our trip to Switzerland, I knew we had to try it.
We booked the excursion through the tour company Outdoor Interlaken. They provide bookings for a lot of outdoor activities, and you get a discount if you book more than two tours! If you have a partner or group member who doesn’t want to take the plunge, they can still come on the trip and they’ll only be charged for gas.
Highlighted Key Features
Body suit provided.
Go Pro footage provided so you can see the terror in your own eyes as you build up the courage to leap of the ledge.
Favourite thing
After you are suited up and clipped into the rope the gravity of your situation becomes apparent. You step up to a ledge and face a 295-foot drop and a tour guide tells you to jump. All your basic human instincts tell you not to do it. Without thinking you take a step back and question yourself. If you’re brave, you step forward into the unknown and accelerate to 120 km/h as you make sounds that you never imagined the human vocal cords could make. You see the world blurring past you as you reach the apex velocity and the adrenaline flowing through your blood makes everything slow down. The rocky riverbed approaches, and you begin to swing horizontally seconds from your imminent demise.
You survived. As you slow down you appreciate the serene sound of flowing water, the excited cheers of those who went before you, and echos of nervous laughter from your friends who have yet to take the plunge.
