In this video I test the effects of silicone oil vs Resi-blast. Both have similar effects, but definitely different depending on how much you use. I do two different tests, one showing my preferred method using a basting brush, and then just using a single point silicone brush. Amazing effects from both! I'm still partial to silicone, what would you choose? Let me know below!

Why do you spray the finished pieces with polyurethane before you put the top coat on?

I'm so glad I found this video! I didn't know silicone worked in resin too. I was only using it in acrylic paints. I'm going to give that resin beach scene another try & get those cells in the white finally - Thank you for this!!

Thanks a lot! In my country can't get resiblast. So silicone is a good option to make cells.

Because of accessubility I would use silicone oil.. love effects an resi blady is just not that different. Consider cost makes silicone oil my preference

You don't have any issues with the resin sticking to the tiles? Typically you have sand the tile with 60 grit and then use a bonding agent for the resin to stick, since the tile is such a smooth shiny surface. Thank you for sharing though I never knew you could use silicone, I'll definitely be using that in the future!

Why do you need to apply polyurethane since you’re adding resin on top?
