The Russian embassy today said the Odisha police haven't yet found any criminal link in the death of two of its citizen at the same hotel in the state within two days. Pavel Antov and Vladimir Bidenov died at the same hotel in Odisha's Rayagada district two days apart, according to local media reports, triggering suspicions of a hit-job, as Russian President Vladimir Putin's critics have died in similar ways in Russia as well. "We are in constant contact with the relatives of the deceased as well as with local authorities. As we know, police do not yet see a criminal component in these tragic events," Russian embassy told NDTV.

Very serious matter of national security for India. It simply means KGB is everywhere in India. They have access to our offices, and imp security establishment. A very strong message should be sent to Kremlin that our soil can't bee used for your covert operations. Everyone know Russia is our friend but there are rules that the country should follow.

*_CLICKBAIT!!_* Is this monologue supposed to be analysis?? Indian exiles like Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi in London are also Indian critics but it doesn't make them right?? Did NDTV research the background of these Russian ex-politicians apart from calling them 'victims' or Putin critics!? There are numerous cases of former Russian politicians or businessmen who run away from Russia & are found in foreign countries like Georgia, Ukraine, Bulgaria etc. They are usually about to be exposed at home for bribes or profiting from foreign money & one may dislike Russian justice but they're given an option to end their lives rather than allow their families to face public humiliation, loss of property etc. This is a very old custom going back to ancient Roman times & the Russians consider themselves the inheritors of the Eastern Roman legacy! This is also quite common across Eastern Europe bec it saves the govt embarassment. You can agree or disagree with it. Also, do some research on triple agent Litvinenko who was working for the British, Israeli & former KGB. It's convenient to blame Russia for everything with zero objectivity! NDTV can find time for a rubbish monologue on two _critics_ of the Russian govt in India but they can't find the time for a deep dive into events preceding Ukraine, exclusives with the Russian NSA or FM when they're _in India_ but they're the first in line to interview a war monger like *Western Ukranian-origin* Victoria Neuland who gets high on WW3 or the trash talking FM of the Ukrainian regime who _literally_ supports *white supremacists with blue eyes and blond hair!?* What a waste of a news resource.
