CT always talks about how the water is the reason why the pizza is so good, but I think this record in particular really shows that there's gnarly ass riffs in that water, too.

That gallop on the double bass on smash your enemies made me save money for a double bass pedal and learn that shit asap. Classic. Forever classic and influential.

It's probably the single most album that influenced my drumming. I always want a big snare that punches you in the face.

I saw them open for Strife in a church (1996) and bought this on cassette, from Jamey for $3.

First hatebreed I ever heard. Still best in my opinion.

Last 3 tracks are real raw, sometimes w bands like Hatebreed I like them more with the bad production, in the raw.

Saw them with Candiria in NYC (1998). The pit looked like a war.

Saw them again in Belgium (1st european show ever after several tours cancelled) and the "war" in NYC was a fight of 6 years old girls compared to the NYC one.

After the belgian show, the floor was totally covered with blood. No joke.

Jamey had such a brutal voice even at age 19. Pretty remarkable.

You can really hear the LG influence in Jamey's voice during this era. RIP to a legend.

When a cute little monkey gets a little pin stuck in its cute little paw, it feels all the anger you hear in this Hatebreed album
