15-Year-Old Breaks 200 MPH at Bonneville Land Speed Racing | RS Garage

Carson was able to get some seat time at the World of Speed event put together by the Utah Salt Flats Racing Association. He was able to go from at rookie to an A License in the course of a weekend. This Datsun 240z is powered by a 2JZ with a top mounted turbo. It has made over 1000HP on the dyno. Red Stauffer his Carson's grandfather has gone over 250MPH in this car. The car is controlled by a Motec ECU, Jay was able to use it to control throttle input and traction control.

We were there, at the starting line and officials tent watched this kid do all the runs. We talked to him and his grandpa. An amazing young man. polite and mature. He will go a long way in this speed sport. Can't wait to see what he does next.
