I’ve had the krakens for about 2 years and love them. I’ve tried the cloud 2, alphas, Astro a50, most turtle beaches and all the arctis ones and I always go back to the krakens

I had a cheaper Razer Kraken for 4 years and it works just as good as when I first bought it, so I was obliged to go for another Razer headset. Thanks for review!

Ive been using kraken ultimate for years now, and I'll give my honest review about them.
Razer headphones tend to have issues and my kraken ultimate had issues of its own
They are:
-The THX button working and not working at times, usually fixed by keeping windows up to date including the drivers or gets fixed by itself the next day but not always, though the issue isn't the button itself but synapse being simply shitty
-The skin of the headphone tends to fall off easily especially if you're in humid areas, making a mess and making the headphones look ugly
-The volume wheel started having issues where it becomes inconsistent with volume level, where increasing volume would decrease it and vice versa so I stopped using it (possibly because of the amount of times I dropped the headphones, or from over use of the wheel)
-Discovered recently that the EQ settings played a very huge role in audio, and the default EQ settings isnt exactly the best options since they sound sort of muffled, played with the settings until i got the perfect audio that fits me for both gaming and music
-The mic sounds pretty alright, just not as great if you're aiming for something of higher quality so I ended up buying a separate mic. Still pretty alright in my opinion and the mute button can be helpful (Keep in mind that the default enhancements could make the mic FAR worse and that's simply because of the AI noise suppresion that windows has, so make sure to look it up and how to disable it just incase)
-People mentiond how the cable can get in your way sometimes, well.. Sort of true since it can be slightly annoying because it would get stuck on my chair and pull on everything, but not as bad once you're used to it

In general, these headphones are pretty darn durable considering the amount of falls and pulls they took before having any issues at all
The mic LED broke off so I had to glue it back making the mute button harder to push, but still works just fine
Would I recommend buying these now? Personally, im considering buying a different one sooner or later but im pretty happy with my kraken ultimate right now, and would recommend it if it was on sale with a good price

“Release the Kraken”, sorry, had to say it. Dope set of gaming headphones, the mic is insanely clear but some bass would definitely help. Those cables on the inside drive me crazy, I wish companies would put a stop to that design. Great review! Happy New Year bro.

THX refers to the USB adapter that comes with the headset. This coloration matches what is found at Wal-mart. It is PC only.

I think razer got an even higher end model with 2 extra drivers for you to feel the bass like the crusher. The only mystery is if there's an audiophile grade THX amp build in that model or razer simply paid for the sticker.

One of my friends brother had these and they were torn apart and still in working condition not saying they are crappy but that states that Razer headsets are reliable only if you baby them meaning don’t be smashing them around and they can be a go too headset if you rage and throw your headset then stick to your turtle beach
