The Chapman Guitars ML3 Traditional Semi-Hollow is now available at Thomann! Although its outfitted with P90 Pickups and has a more traditional design it can handle quite a lot of gain. Also Rob Chapman and Kris test it with a variety of Pedals. But hear for yourself....

I like the fact that Chapman appear to have taken design cues from PRS. My Hollowbody ii has a solid Maple cap as do all their semi-hollow instruments - no plywood regardless of how high end those guitars are. Also the brass at the bridge reminds me of all my PRS bridges and saddles.

The difference of course is 'price' and country of manufacture. What this shows though is the level of quality Chapman offers but at a 'fraction' of the price that other manufacturers (Like PRS) sell their guitars for. I am NOT criticising PRS for their price (I own 4 core guitars myself and I know Rob as at least 1 himself - unless his Child has taken receipt of it now :D ) but commending Chapman for offering 'high spec' guitars at a 'reasonable' cost.

Make a ML2 with a Semi Hollow with great Humbuckers (like the 58/15 LT's) and I bet that will sell...

Played one at guitar center. It was definitely one of the best sounded and feeling guitars there in the price range. I bought two other guitars instead...a PRS CE 24 and a core 24. But now I think I may need one of these too. I believe this guitar is Asian made... but you would never know it. It looks, sounds, and feels very high quality... like an expensive USA guitar.

I mean for real it sounds awesome and looks gorgeous.
Chapman you have learned from prs but took the good parts. Really lovely done, I have to admit. Never was a fan of your brand but this one could be one..

Recently got the Epiphone 1955i with P90s and it's my favorite metal guitar, it's so clear, but with a ton of roar.

Definitely looks and sounds like it's getting into PRS guitar territory. May have to find one of these for a play.

I played the black ml3 semi hollow with the humbuckers and it was one of the nicest guitars I’ve played. My wife wouldn’t let me buy it though.

could you guys or rob do a video on one of those 70's custom telecasters with the humbucker/burstbucker on the neck please? Been really contemplating getting one, love the physical feel of tele's but don't like the switch position and love humbuckers, so it felt like a match made in heaven when i saw it!!
