Why would you even consider registering for VAT when you start selling? (You are nowhere near the £85k threshold yet!)

Hello guys, for the VAT in France (20%) you collect it from your sales and services, pay it every 3 months to the government, but you get it back on any purchase that has VAT on it. Every year your acounter makes the balance between the VAT you collected and the one you got back from your purchases. Then if you collected more than you got back, the governnment gives you back the extra money or you can choose to leave it as a fund for your next payment. SO VAT is just a matter of having a good track on your treasury but you will always have your money back..

VAT question...assume VAT on the sale price is because you had to get VAT registered being a US company?Also it doesn't show any VAT charges on the import cost (manufacture + shipping)?

Hi Greg, I am very inspired by this case study,  i was lucky enough to get the deal and purchased the tools (jungle scout web app and chrome extension) that will be needed for this journey i can confirm i am  officially one of your student. i have a question /  What did you hire freight forwarder to deal with shipment and not DHL? and is it possible to recommend one based in the UK ? Thanks a lot for all the hard work

Does the shipping estimate take into consideration the additional costs of customs, shipping from the freight fowarder's warehouse to Amazon and other miscellaneous costs?

Hi Greg if we buy the Web app it works on multiple market places such as India, US UK like one Web app or we have to buy separately for each of them

If everyone is using the same tools to find their products, how likely is it that by the time you get your product listed, you'll have a ton of competition come into the market at the same time? Seems low competition products are far and few between so everyone will be finding the same ones?

I would love to launch a product in th US but I live in the UK. How would the tax work? Do I pay tax twice? for US and for UK?

Yeah, talking about things you need to know before selling on amazon. How about mentioning that while giving discounts on jumpsend and basically giving your products say 80, only to have some highjacking piece of shit completely fuck up my product launch. That would have been worth mentioning.
