Johnny Logan - Hold Me Now | Ireland 🇮🇪 | Winner of Eurovision 1987

Johnny Logan won the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest in Brussels with his song 'Hold Me Now'. At that time, Johnny had already won in 1980 with 'What's Another Year' and had written the second-placed song in 1984, 'Terminal 3', performed in Luxembourg by Linda Martin.

Johnny was the first person to win the Contest twice as a singer.

"Hold me now" was one of 14 songs chosen by Eurovision fans and a EBU Reference Group, from among the 992 songs that had ever participated in the contest, to participate in the 50th anniversary competition Congratulations: 50 Years of the Eurovision Song Contest held on 22 October 2005 in Copenhagen, where it was voted the third-best song in Eurovision history behind "Waterloo" and "Nel blu dipinto di blu".
