I will never understand: A professional ATP player gets INJURED in the middle of the match.. NOBODY assists them on time, no physios, nobody.. in Football someone gets just hit and right away they have assistance! These players are making you, ATP, make so much money in tickets, sponsors, TV rights! Get some freaking assistance quicker! Seeing a player, alone with a CHAIR! in this pain is so bad for the sport.

it's mental how little procedure there seems to be for injuries in tennis. Whilst it's good to see players helping opponents who get injured to their feet, they're not medics and shouldn't be moving injured people. How long did it take for physios to get there? Why was the best they could do to get a fold-up chair for him to hobble to? Not good enough.

Tennis is so hard on the body. Im 31. I tore my calf muscle last year, and I waited a week to go get it checked out, because I thought it was just a bad cramp. Trying to stretch my leg resulted in a blood clot which couldve killed me, had I waited a little longer to go to the hospital. Was on blood thinners and crutches for 2 months. It was a terible period that really made me stop and find gratitude in just being healthy.

SO SAD TO SEE!! Monfils was coming back in the Second set. Seems like he was just getting the hang of things, and then this happens. I wasn’t sure if Monfils was just playing around a little bit or if he was really injured at first, but once I saw he was still limping on his leg after resting for a few minutes I knew it was gonna be over and no bit of tape from the Physio was gonna save his ankle. I also saw that he had tape on his foot already once he took off his shoe so perhaps he already had an injury beforehand.I mean, Jack Draper may have one anyway but it said that we didn’t get to see them play out the match. Hope to a speedy recovery!
