Piastri is scary... like actually scary. the brother is special, he does not have what it takes to be a World Champion... he has what it takes to be a MULTI World Champion and this season he is tired of playing the rookie.

Piastri proved with his overtakes not just the fact that he mastered how to drive that McLaren, but also that he has mastered his opponents driving style and characteristics, because he knew how to goat Leclerc into where to go, and how to keep him stuck in his dirty air.

As an Oscar fan this was one of the races of the season for me. Charles is an excellent driver the pressure on Oscar was insane. Lando even though I don’t really like him drove a superb race deserved all the plaudits he got. Oscar is providing some of the overtakes of the season, he must be watching old Danny Ric highlights 😂

As someone who supported logan sergeant saying hes not as bad as it looks. I now feel like an idot. Or maybe Colapintois the next thing. Impressive though.

As a Piastri enjoyer, this was so satisfying to watch. He himself knows that it's much more satisfying than his actual first win, which got tainted by McLaren. No one will question him anymore!

I'm really happy for Colapinto. As an American, I'm really hoping Logan can land on his feet in Indy. Feeling bad for Checo.

Oscar is the highest points scorer over the last 10 races. Oscar 169 points Lando 153 points Max 152 points. If he had a better Japanese and Chinese GP's and didn't have bad luck in miami where he could have easily won the race instead of getting no points due to bad luck of vsc and sainz damaging his car he would be around 45 to 50 points away from max. He was also unlucky in Austria with track limis in qualifying, unlucky at Imola with a penalty in quali due to his team, unlucky in Silverstone due to his team not pitting him, and unlucky at Spa and Monza due to team strategy. He and Max have been the most impressive drivers this year imo.

16:02 LawVs, I would argue that Perez should be put into the winners category.
Even though he didn't finish the race, he outclassed Max the whole weekend and that is a very to hard to do. If it wasn't for the shenanigans at towards the end of the race, Podium was guaranteed. I think you are been a bit harsh on him

The Doctor said it on german Sky, the biggest problem wasnt Perez crashing, in terms of Perez himself it was "The fact that we wanted to try something with this car. We must see, IF we can rebuild it.... Yes we will build A car, but these parts are gone, all the test we wanted to do with this car over the next week, its gone."

Piastri raced his ass off. Absolutely stellar drive from him. Not too big a McLaren fan but the drive he put in was a masterpiece. Colapinto scoring more points than Sargeant did in 1.5 seasons on the grid & people still feel sorrow for that man ? He was the issue. Albon has even had better performances since his departure. The sainz & Perez crash IMO was a racing incident that sealed the fate of Red Bull’s constructors championship.. unless there’s a race where both McLarens are wrecked or out of point scoring positions. George ran a clean race.. he earned his place on the podium.. can’t wait for Singapore 🇸🇬 this should be interesting 🙂‍↔️

I think Mark Webber was biggest winner, as a person. He got to witness that it’s possible to be dignified whilst winning as “number two” driver.

He knew it wasn’t 50/50. Oscar always likes to play it down. The only moment from the w/e where we could hear the emotion was the quiet at the start of his winning radio transmission.

Can't believe that Colapinto has scored more points in 2 races than Sargeant in 1.5 years.

During the early part of this season, while Sky Sports were going on about Lando (no British driver bias surely?!), I said to F1 fan friends that Oscar is a better driver and not because he's hugely quicker than Lando (I think they're quite level with maybe Lando edging it on outright speed) but because he has a strong mentality. He's very self aware and knows his strengths and he's only going to get better. You don't often see a driver soak up pressure for 30+ laps without making a mistake.

If this was Lando or Lewis, Sky Sports would be gushing endlessly- with Oscar were definitely looking at WC material.
