Even If He Wins Big, Keir Starmer Faces a Disgruntled UK

Britain stands on the cusp of what should be a once-in-a-generation political realignment on July 4, with polls showing Keir Starmer’s Labour Party heading for a landslide win and Rishi Sunak’s Conservatives facing a wipeout after 14 turbulent years in power.

It would be a remarkable turnaround for Labour, from its worst showing since before World War II in 2019 to potentially surpassing its previous high-water mark under former leader Tony Blair in just one election cycle. Some pollsters project Starmer will enter 10 Downing Street enjoying as close to one-party dominance as the UK political system is ever likely to allow.

Yet few expect a thumping Labour majority to trigger a revival of the Cool Britannia optimism that greeted the first of Blair’s three wins in 1997. Britons are bruised by the impact of Brexit, the pandemic and a historic squeeze on living standards, and some voters are backing Labour only to force the Tories out.

Starmer stands for nothing. Not a patch on Nigel Farage as a leader

Why media doesn’t mention Jimmy Saville. It’s a big deal that Starmer protected Saville who was pedofile for 30 years. A very big news
