Divine Intervention and April Mid-month Budget Update

No joke....divine intervention!!!! it is time for a mid-month update!!! This update is a low-tech version...no numbers, just talking, chit chat type stuff with you. So far we are doing okay. Going into the month I thought that April was going to be HORRIBLE, but we got some great news that really bailed us out of a bind with our taxes.

Oh the school pictures were lovely, especially the one in the 'graduation' costume.
I'm SO pleased that everything turned out well with your budget. I agree that when WE are good with our money or are in a pinch, something happens to bring money into our lives. Weird, but great!

I've been wondering how you guys are doing!! I have a similar situation with a place called Zest here in Columbus.. $10 for these organic smoothies and they taste great! They just dig right into the budget - I try and wait until I can dig $5-6 dollars in change from my wallet before going in that store!

My mom made my Dad's lunch the night before for 37 years. She also made our lunches. She made them while we cleaned up supper.

Precious picture!!! We also got sideswiped by photos last month! We had ballet pics - I knew we would purchase one for $35, but then I also got a $15 group photo. And then some experienced parents let me know that the group photos are in the "yearbook" we will get at the end of the year... lol. So, thankfully it was just an extra $15... but still... I felt ripped off!

Those pictures were adorable! I like your favorite but my favorite was the one where she's holding the tassel. I wish our school system still used Life Touch, they are good. The crappy company my school uses now is terrible. I can't tell you how many pictures I've gotten back where her hair was stretched across her neck or her eyelids were slightly closing. 😠 And I'm like, they want us to pay money for this?

I would have bought the photos too, they are way cuter then the school photos we get over here which is just one head & shoulders shot.

My daughter school last year ( different from this year) sold digital pictures and I would buy just that. This year it's a different photo company and the only way to buy digital you have to buy prints. I bought only one sheet, very hard to decide and one other pic digital. So I had two. I scanned the print so I could have both on digital. But this new school does photos twice a year! I had no clue so I bought in Sept. Not buying in March. Too costly!! Just my experience!
