A federal judge ruled over the weekend that if employees of the Houston Methodist hospital system don't like the requirement that employees be vaccinated against COVID-19, they can work elsewhere. CBSN's Elaine Quijano has the details.

All hospital staff should strike for their fellow workers.

It should be illegal if it kills you - which it has.

So you're just going to report this same "news" item every 2 hours all day then? This is the FOURTH CBS "report" with the exact same headline posted today. Every one always shows the age as "2 hours" ....every one, since noon

And as for that crooked judge he's a reed blowing in the breeze going with the flow he will have to answer to the real judge God and he will weep and whale 4 what he has done.

If you are vaccinated why are you worried about me?

Welcome to the latest decision that is snowballing until we have no say over anything. The nurses were the front line heroes and now this! This is not what I served my country for, I put myself and life on the line for this kind of ludicrous violation of everything I fought to prevent, makes me sick.

I agree that those nurses shouldn't have to take the vaccine.
I also agree that hospitals have a legal obligation to maintain the health of their patients and shouldn't be required to employ anyone who threatens the health of those patients.
So . . ., as the judge stated in his ruling, those nurses are free to find other employment.

Well it looks like a hospital in Houston will be understaffed.

It's a liability issue as well as a moral issue for hospitals. Some of those most vulnerable to severe infections are in hospitals. It's common sense for them to require their staff to be vaccinated.

"The government is forcing us to get the vaccine and making us magnetic!! That's a crime!!" 😂😂😂

I’m completely against forcing people to get a shot. On the other hand I like the idea of being treated by someone who has the shot

Court of law is also a part of the system. Do not take any chances with legal system.

As a healthcare consumer, I expect my healthcare caregivers to be fully vaccinated to protect me and my family when seeking care. Health workers should be vaccinated because they come into close contact with patients. If Doctors and nurses can't be responsible enough to care for their own health and that of others, they should not be working in the health field.

Quit your job. If uncle Sam won't stand up for the people, they will have to stand-up for themselves
