Had to look it up, James Horner went through 25-30 vocalists before finding Sissel Kyrkjebø from Norway. She almost wound up singing “My Heart Will Go On” but Horner had worked with Celine Dion on two earlier film songs, and felt she deserved a shot at it. (Of course James Cameron was dead set against having words to theme song, and Horner had to slip him a cassette tape and prodded him to just listen to the lyrics version one time.) Sissel is on the rest of the soundtrack, and she is singing the during the intro of “My Heart Will Go On.”
