The main problem with the hulk we have now is that the writers of the MCU seem to use him as a way of showing the strength of other characters, but they’ve done it enough times for it to not mean anything now.

The worst one is Thanos vs the Hulk. In the comics, Thanos has stated that the Hulk is one of the few entities in the universe he goes to great efforts to avoid. In Infinity War (or was it endgame?), Thanos takes out the Hulk like it's nothing.

In my opinion the thing that made the “old hulk” more terrifying was that he had no care for his own well being, meaning he had nothing to loose. He was actually willing to die trying to kill his enemy.

I agree with this, you can literally see every single muscle on his body and looking like an absolute embodiment of rage, he actually seemed STRONGER the angrier he got, not only that but a bit of Banner's intelligence shines through when he uses his surroundings effectively, unlike the newer hulk who just uses debris by throwing it randomly and just being a punching bag to make another character seem strong, what's next? A dad-bod Hulk?

The New hulk never gets stronger when he’s angrier, he just starts screaming and jumping continuously. The old 2008 Hulk grew when he got angry, (he grew a very small amount) and he grew stronger when he got angrier.

At 0:03, you can see the deltoids in hulks shoulders tense up trying to stop the weight of himself as he lands. It conveys so much mass and strength and its just an incredible detail. The way he still rocks forward a foot or so even after he plants his hands into the ground just trying to stop his own weight. The animators for this hulk and the people who MADE this rig show incredible attention to detail. I can only imagine how long it took to model and rig the muscles like that. Showing the striations in his body when he flexes. Just a work of art on that front alone.

The Hulk(2008)'s fighting style is way more flexible to me, like how he can manage to find a way to defeat his enemies even with all those muscles, he still uses his brain a little. While the Avenger Hulk is just doing punches and act bigger

I read up on this recently. Apparently Norton had a bunch of grand ideas that made production a pain during the Incredible Hulk. That and Ruffalo was willing to work more as a team according to Marvel. Norton was upset though because the way Marvel did it made it seem like he was toxic when I think it was more just being used to having lead role.

In the comics, he was able to shake the entire world with a single step at his most angry state. Currently in the mcu, he could be beaten by Batman with no prep time.

I didn't realize the Hulk now got his ass kicked alot looking back at these clips. The old Hulk looked damn near unstoppable

I think one appeal about the rendition of the Hulk from 2008 was the attention to detail on his skin. While the Hulk from the current MCU looks like a healthy, swole body builder with green body paint, 2008 looks… unhealthy, monstrous. You can kinda feel the morbid concoction of his rage and gamma ray boiling up on every crease of his skin.
