I have spent an ungodly amount of time sitting here studying, next to Miku, who is also studying. Sometimes I get really stressed and upset about it, but then I look up at Miku, and she's still just sitting there smiling, relaxed, and carefree, still taking those notes. And then I remember, there is truly nothing to fear, but fear itself. Miku will ace the exam, and I will too.

IT student here, I took the time to over analyze Miku's apartment and give my views on her lifestyle and background based on what she uses in her room and life. Basically, this "Lofi Miku" seems to be well educated in technology and consumerism. She also seems to be very considerate of not only how her purchases affect the environment, but also her personal rights.


This details a LOT about "Lofi Miku" as I like to refer to her in this series. She seemingly lives in a more Americanized culture (and possibly lives in an American city from the designs of the room she's in.) She seems to have a preference for old western decor and appreciates a bit of indoor gardening. (I suspect easy to grow herbs for cooking. This saves money and can be relaxing, reducing stress.) But more importantly, she seems to follow the idea of reducing E-waste and waste in general. All her electronics all hella old, yet still functional given their purpose. She also doesn't dispose of her old tech as evident from the two keyboards kept by her desk on the floor. She also seems to be rather educated given the number of books she's collected and (from a tech nerd perspective) the way she knows what tech she needs. (Her computer, while old, is still functional for the sole purpose of studying. In fact, the threat of malware and cyberattacks is very little if Miku adopts an internet lifestyle of reducing her internet usage to just accessing her college's web portal. The rest she seems to do with books, physically researching details she needs for assignments. I suspect her tech also matches this lifestyle given her flip phone. Without a smart device, Miku wouldn't be using the web much at all. This reduces her internet risk tremendously. She can also patch up the security risks to that old computer with a VPN if she uses her apartment's WIFI and simply avoid using the device beyond just her college. At that point, the only threat would be if her college, VPN, or physical device where attacked. < I'm referring to physically hacking the device instead of just using malware.)

So, based on these few details, we know Lofi Miku is conservative towards buying new things. I suspect she takes the time to write out and fully understand what problem she wants to resolve, then searches for old devices that can serve that purpose to keep them out of landfills. She also seemingly decorates her room with decor from local garage sells which is probably where she searches for tech. She also seems to have recently come back from exercising. (Probably from jogging from either college or work.) It seems to be summer where she lives from the side vent running, and what seems to be a ceiling fan causing the light to move on the record player. (I know the ceiling fan is used in winter, but I wouldn't suspect the vent to run also.) If she's buying from garage sells, she seems to value individual privacy by not giving big corporations her personal information when possible. (Avoiding online shopping basically.) This also leads me to wonder if she uses a bicycle or scooter for commuting. Given that she lives in a city, this could allow her to avoid getting stuck in traffic and fits with my suspected lifestyle of reducing waste. (Wasting gas and avoiding carbon emissions.) Plus, this could add more cardio to her exercise routine if she uses a bike to get to the local grocery store if not a small farmer's market.


Side notes, I wonder if Lofi Miku also supports rights like "The Right to Repair" (The right to repair a device you bought and own. Something that big tech constantly tries to take away.) I would suspect so because older tech (what Miku has.) Is normally easier to repair yourself. This means that Lofi Miku is probably not only savvy in knowing what she needs, but also in how it works and how to repair devices.

If she cycles, I wouldn't be surprised if she deliberately chose where to live based on the geography and infrastructure. Meaning that either there's decent public transportation or good bike friendly infrastructure.

Maybe she also adopted a vegetarian diet. This would reduce costs a lot and be easier to carry on a bike if she cycles or walks. If she lives in America, then it's probable that she eats a Mediterranean vegetarian diet or vegetarian Thai curries.

I spent way too much time on this, I should be studying. But if you did read all of this...I beg of you. Try and be like Miku? It would help you and the world so much more. But don't endanger yourself. I know cycling can be dangerous in the world. ~ Thank you so much for reading! Maybe leave a like to push this up for more to find?
