I currently have the Presto Tilt model you tested and I used to have one of the previous non tilt models.

When the room temp was only raised 3 degrees in your video, I bet that raise is cumulative to some point. For example. For my room, the chill starts to happen at around 5:00PM and I know my room is going to get really really cold around 8:00 at night. I have found that if I turn on my Presto Tilt at 5:00, the entire room is warmer at 8:00 than it would normally be otherwise, I woud guess about 10 degrees warmer. Those extra three degrees add up over the hours for the entire area. I think this is because the warm vapor rising from the coils do manage to spread throughout the room, but without a fan, it just takes more time.

Also, if you think the front of the Presto Tilt grill is hot, then you really would not have liked the older model. I'm convincd Presto has done something to make the Presto Tilt a few degrees cooler than the model I previously had. I read somewhere that the black grill actually aborbs about 8% of the heat versus the old models which were white or grey. Or maybe the dish itself is not quite as reflective as the older model. I can tell you for a fact that a personally got blisters on my legs from sitting in front of the older, non tilt, white grey grilled model. I know the older model WAS hotter than the newer "Tilt" model. (I'm actually going on E-bay to get the used older model.)

Lastly, after two years of use, my older model started buzzing and would not stop, so I had to go get the newer Tilt model. I believe what caused it to fail was the dish got too dirty. If you do buy this heater, go to the Presto website and buy their cleaner brush!!!! About every two weeks or so, unplug the heater, dip the cleaner brush in some dish soap, and clean the surface of the dish. Then, dip the brush in regular water, and rinse the surface or the dish. Let the dish dry for at least 3 hours or so, then you'r back in business with a nice shiny reflective dish!
