Surface area of a hollow cylinder

To calculate the surface area of a hollow cylinder we first calculate the area of the base with is a ring , we multiply it by two. The we calculate the surface are of the external cylinder plus the area of the internal cylinder then we sum all the various areas to get the surface area.
