The way the game paused was the kind of pause used for a cutscene and not the one that pulls out the menu when you're in the overworld or in a fight. You were screwed before the fight even began lol.

As a person that knows nothing about the Yakuza games, I've seen 2 videos now where this dude springs on you when you load a save and when you unpause the game. It's honestly hysterical to imagine that this dude repetitively waits to always do this same ambush no matter how long it takes.

The worst part about pausing in 0 and Kiwami is my controller shuts itself off after like 5 minutes. The reason why that's bad is that I'd have to completely restart the game to make it actually pick up my controller. Like, the game registers that I have a controlled connected, but none of the buttons work.
