Worst DIY Indoor Pool - Starting to Clean the Kiln

Hope you don't mind the long cuts of hosing down the walls, I found it very cathartic to watch all the salts and debris wash away, revealing the stone beneath. The kiln still has a very long way to go but this was a pretty major step in making it look and feel a little less disgusting. It's still really dark and gross in there, but it's a definite improvement.

This was filmed a few weeks ago, so it mentions we're still waiting on our building warrant to replace the roof and demolish the kiln. We now have that building warrant and are able to start work on removing the kiln internals next week.

Sorry for the terrible audio on the intro/outro. Turns out Tyvek suits and lavalier mics don't really go together very well. The mill has a ton of reverb and wind noise, so the shotgun mic on the camera isn't much better.

Just found the channel this week,
and I'm binge watching most of the old content. I have to say, you are an incredibly hard working guy. This is coming from a welder/fabricator, who works too hard for my paycheck. The watermill is certainly beautiful, but I think I would've left the stove on while I was out for dinner. It's going to beyond incredible when you're done. It's looking so good already!

Edit: also, good idea on the protective gear when working with the bird poop!

I would be very interested in seeing a plan or a layout of the whole building (hand drawn and not to scale would be sufficient), so I can retrace what exactly you are doing and in which area of the building. What are your future plans for the kiln?
Also I need a dirty wall to clean right now.

Are there any special council ordinances or rules regarding the disposal of the waste water? I'd imagine pumping all of the salts could be rough on your land and local water given the sheer volume of it
