I’m a teacher in Auckland and it’s my first time baking ever. I followed your instruction and it came out great. Thank you for your very straight forward recipe. My class loved it!

Of all the recipes on Anzac biscuits, yours has to, by a country mile, be the most straightforward and most clearly explained. Thank you so much. 💓

I’m Australian. I grew up in the 1950-60s. Anzac bikkies were an institution. Every household made them for ANZAC day. However over time and as more mothers took work outside the home less families made their own.
I like handmade basic ingredients best so have always kept up the tradition.
It’s interesting to see the slight variations in recipes. Ours were always a cup each of rolled oats, desiccated coconut, flour, BROWN sugar. And absolutely golden syrup! No substitute for that 😂

I just realized these are exactly the same ingredients as butternut snaps. My grandson is allergic to oats so I put crushed almonds instead. So yum !

Hello from the States! My maternal grandmother was Australian. It’s been years since I’ve had Anzac biscuits, but I’d love to add them to my baking repertoire.

I tried your recipe; it turned out awesome. I like that it has more coconut in it and it is not too sweet.
Thanks for this video. 🇳🇿

Purchased all my supplies today so I can make these tomorrow. I'm from Brisbane and this is a family favourite. I myself the same as you, remember making them in school. I will always remember being so excited that I made these on my own and wanted to show off at home by making them again. I made them again, and forgot the coconut 🤣

Love this recipe! I make them often. Using maple syrup instead of golden (I am in Boston), and decreasing amount of brown sugar by 50%. Delicious!

Delicious recipe. Though I found that 2 tablespoons of water caused them to spread and go completely flat. I reduced the water to 1.5 tablespoons and they came out perfect.
