I think it's gonna do alot better with the other pinion gear on it. I like them, I think they just look alot better than the regular rustler.

Ran mine on 13t pinion in the cool months but the darn thing overheats in the summer. 11t on 3s aint bad out in the dirt though helps keep your tires on the rims :-)

I have the same rustler vxl on 3s and I'm doing back flips with no problem. Running standard traxxas 3s 4000mah lipo. Cells might be out of balance.

the car runs 40mph on 2s with the optional 17 tooth grear not with the 11 tooth.

Just did my first run with mine on 3S and uploaded that video. Thanks for letting me know what the top speed is. ;) I will say that I was surprised at the build quality out of the box as I didn't have to "fix" anything lol.

It runs pretty good. I would get this vehicle but I have a Slash 4x4 LCG Ultimate. The new Rustler is almost the same thing. It looks nice but ill pass on this one.

And got 3s 5000mah

Man im going to say im in awe and dissapointed with that even on 3s my rusty on 2s would smoke that on three guess its the vxl system never owned one i went from xl5 to hobbywing max10 sct 3200kv with 22/76 and run trenchers and hit 48mph on 2s and 60+ on 3s if i can control it lol

Seems slow compared to their older 1/10th scale 4x4's.

I'm curious if they changed something either in the gearing or Motor/ESC. Older brushed versions used to run mid 20 mph stock.
