Deep, deep muscles of the back

Beyond erector spinae we find the transversospinalis muscles of the back. These are small, deep, deep, muscles of the back running between vertebrae. There are a few other minor, deep muscles nearby too.

I am very grateful for your videos and have watched many of them because they are so useful. Many anatomy videos are boring and dry but yours are always lively and interesting. I especially like this one because this muscle group does not usually get talked about in such detail. It is good to be reminded of the high spindle count in these muscles and their important proprioceptive role. The body is wonderfully complex and your style of breaking it down into carefully explained detail and then gradually building up the picture of interconnected complexity is a rare gift. Thank you!
