Oh, look an animatic--haven't seen one of these on my channel for a hot minute since last summer. This animatic took surprisingly less time than my country human ones so I'm proud that I got my sH1t together and managed to make it under a week.
Anyways hope you enjoy this little look into my story building since I've haven't done one and some of y'all have been asking for OC backstories so here's of the Leihana Twins (Mako and Kai'Lea)

Theory time cuz im already heavly invested!
1. Father had two kids, they lived in Hawaii and grew up in a fishing business (maybe just love of fishing) the girl being very enthusiastic and happy, this may stem from the fact that she is ill (of so i think) and the boy, his quietness and lack of being involved stems from fear. The fight scene in the story never truly happens, but is just a way the boy copes with the death of his sister, hence such the strong reaction to seeing her.
2. Same back story about the family except this time the girl isnt ill, just a happy child. The boy still being introverted, and assumingly doesnt love fishing as much as his father and sister. This leading to him not going on a fishing trip with them, one that proved fatal for the two since the sister is clearly dead and the father doesnt make another appearance after the first half. The fight scene is simply just a memory of his and how he wishes he was there for her more.

I Google Translated the writing on the picture since I only speak English, Spanish and some French, and I was shocked because a realised that's exactly what was written on my big brother's picture. He went missing about a year ago and mum told me he's in a mental asylum but turns out he died from a fist fight. Lovely story and animation, you deserve so many more subs

My depiction of the story;

Boy: mute or just shy

Girl: outgoing and adventurous

The boy and girl were siblings and they had a fishing business (or it’s just a hobby) In this story, they landed on a nearby island, or landed home, or had a fight before she boarded the boat, or it was a flashback. Anyways, she got into a fight and her condition got worse after the fight. Which leads to her dyeing (idk how to spell it) somehow. And the brother would be sad that he wasn’t there for her.

The subtle imagery that they at 0:49 is great. Very well done. I will say it might of needed a quick frame with them getting the necklaces but thats just me nick picking. And maybe a bit to tell the genders apart. They are very easy to mix up for someone like me
