What I find a bit odd is that it has a slightly smaller battery than the 6A, and yet is a tad thicker. Must be the Tensor G2 board vs the G1 in the 6A. Anyway, I'm only about 7 months into my 6A, and still really enjoying it. Plus it has 4+ years of updates left.

Main 2 complaints with the 7a for me are the ergonomics, phone isn't that comfortable in the hand and it feels heavier than it is, and the brightness is lacking I think due to it's dingy yellow tint, I feel like my 6a screen is brighter.
