Now I get why the trainer of the Rancor in Return of the Jedi was crying after Luke killed it.

While a lot of people dump on the Book of Boba Fett for not having a lot of action, I love how it did so much to expand the lore of Star Wars and make it feel more alive. In the movies, the Sand People were just enigmatic raiders who showed up to kill for no reason; this show finally gave them the culture that previously only existed in the books. They took the Rancor - previously a beast that existed just to be killed in 2 minutes - and made it a fascinating creature.

Damn even Boba understands mental health struggles and how real depression is

Leave it to Danny Trejo, one of the most higly decorated Mexican actors to tell you about the complex emotions of rancors, even if I haven't watched book of boba, this is without a doubt a perfect way to set up a story

I know half the comments are about the guy from Return of the Jedi crying when Luke killed the Rancor, but I remember watching the movie as a child and asking my dad about why he was crying, and my dad said "That was his pet"

The guy crying after Luke kills the rancor had been saving up every credit he could to buy the rancor from Jabba and take it off world with him to live in peace. He was a few credits short the day Luke had to kill her.

One thing I can definitely say about the new series like this one is the attention to the details of the animals and creatures. Especially in the Mandalorian. We're seeing more and more of the aliens and creatures that inhabit these worlds, and personally I really enjoy seeing it. The lore behind the tuskens in this show is a great example of what I'm talking about. It's very well done, down to all the details, and it lines up with other sources lore. I mean Boba wasn't the first person we know of to be amongst the sandpeople. The Jedi Revan did so too, learns the history and culture of the Tuskens, and even kills a Krayt dragon just like Din does on the show. We learn alot in that particular game, and it's not only spot on with what they show in the shows, but the shows expand upon it. Honestly people don't give them enough credit sometimes...but I get it you have to know to know.

The show was all about how people (and rancors) are more complex than their appearance would suggest.

Boba was reborn on Tatooine and quit being a bounty hunter.

Fennac was rebuilt and became a loyal majordomo.

The mod gang and citizens of Mos Espa weren’t as selfish as they first appeared.

Din Djarin admits that he despite completing his mission, he missed his adoptive son.

Grogu realized the Jedi life wasn’t what he wanted.

And the main antagonist is Cad Bane, a man who told Boba that he would never change and died wrong.

And at the end of this season, they have a saddle on top of the rancor and Boba is riding on top of it.

This was a cool part of the show, i wish they would go into more detail about the animals in star wars. like a Steve Irwin but for aliens. Make ashow about that.

They're powerful fighters because of their emotional attachments.

I liked how they kept the Night Sisters lore which I first saw when playing Forces of Corruption.
